PROCESS

Masterbatch production is a process performed with special design double screw extruders (and equipment) that require mature knowledge and complete equipment. As is known, Masterbatch is a plastic dye that is offered in a mixture of 3 main groups. Each of the 3 groups of raw materials mentioned is an encyclopedic accumulation in its field and formation. These raw materials;

Polymer / main carrier: its softness, hardness, melting and combustion indices, fluidity rate, compatibility with other polymer materials and many such quantities should be well known and searched.

Mainly carried pigment /main carrier: requires an understanding of dimensions (micro - size), suitability for use in the field of plastic, heat resistance positions, compliance with food packaging regulations, migration (carrying chemical or paint from a point to a point and throwing out), ability to fit in the mixture (with other pigments, sometimes more than one), and many more features such as percentages.

Auxiliary materials: additives used to best grind (disperse) pigment and carrier polymer together. The compatibility of these materials with pigments and plastics is another issue that requires serious knowledge.

In the production process of Tayf, with more than 30 years of knowledge and experience, and then with 5 double screw extruders, 10 single screw extruders, together with auxiliary units, a total of 35 fully equipped machine tracks are produced.
Production Process Stages:

Turbo mixing,

Mono - color and tailor - made production on double screw extruders,

Laboratory testing and quality/color confirmation of the color processed during production,

Inventory of approved production sample by giving lot number,

Producing primary colors with mono – masterbatches receiving lot number, single or double screw extruder,

Conducting color and quality checks at the production stage (color measurement device and injection printing),

Presentation for sale with Lot number.

The percentage of return of masterbatches produced due to chromatic aberration or other physical errors in our company is well below 0.1% (~1/70).
